That is the ONLY city with a Mk1. At least the only one I know of.

There is no way you are getting. Your would
be breaking the law and i find it very hard to believe you wouldnt get caught.
someone would see you.
Please note that I previously wrote that I would SEEK PERMISSION.
If a "No" answer, then go to the next higher-up.

It would be fun to "finess" it out of there at night.
But I would not want to break someone's lock to have to do it.

If they are eventually going to scrap it, I would want to steal it and then weigh it and send them the money they would have gotten for scrap.
Plus, I saved them the teardown costs, risks, etc.

I'd hate to see it just scrapped.
In Denver, a very good condition 2t22A was apparently scrapped about 5-6 years ago because no one gave a thought about what to do with it.

Sure you could get it down, but what sane person would drive
a few thousand miles and climb a tower just to save a stupid tornado
siren? Not to mention killing himself in the process...

MOI!
Oh, you said "sane".
Eliminates me.

I haven't had the chance to even plot the mileage or figure costs.
Is it THAT far from Denver?

I'd be properly tied-in in the tower. (I'm a chimney sweep & highclimber.)
But have not yet studied the RF factor.
Also has to be done when no lightning is possible.
