As I understand it, the 550AT was designed to compete with the HOR Super Sirex, which would make sense.

I'm guessing it's a ten-horsepower motor, as the siren looks about the size of a 2T22 in power.

It does look just like a horizontal 2t22 with reflectors rather than cones.

I checked my mom's calendar that the town gives her (she's a councilwoman) and it noted the test as Friday, May 1 7:00 PM (weather permitting)
Still close enough to a Fed Sig 550AT to drive out on test day: First Friday in May - 7PM!

May Day, May Day.

My wife and I will plan a pilgrimage.

What is best route from Parker, Colorado?

Thank you.

Come down Colorado route 83. Then, catch 86 East in Elizabeth. Then, a mile short of entering Kiowa, right on Elbert road. It's 26 miles south to US Highway 24. Then, it's 12.5 miles east/northeast to Calhan.
If you're using Google Maps, City hall is at 556 Colorado Ave Calhan, CO 80808.

Kudos. The only sirens (IMHO) that are really any good are the Modulators, Model 2's and Eclipse-8's.

The 2001-DC was the best 2001 model ever made, I wish Federal would begin making that model again. The 2001-SRNB's and above are way too high pitched.

I wonder, did the SD*10 come into the scene before this or did this come after the SD*10?
