What does SRN/SRNB/DC/AC/130 even stand for anyway?

They're just the designations for the upgraded/newer model of 2001.
With the 2001*130 meaing it has reached 130 Decibles. **Edit**

starting with the origianal 2001 I think it was rated at 127 dB(C) and as time went on they (Federal) kept on improving the model.

The 2001 AC means it runs on AC power supplied from a land line.

The 2001 DC is that is runs on a battery back for main power / with ac power being used only for charging the batteries.

Edit: The SRN*B was an inprovement replacing the rotator belt device with a new beltless rotator device, & some other inefficentcies.

When you stop to think about it, sirens really aren't a large scale operation. Hence why Federal's factory isn't all that big (albeit they have a much larger client base)

It appears that a Thunderbolt once sat there. Too bad they took it down. Hopefully they didn't scrap it, maybe they restored it and kept it as a peice of history (doubtful).

Supposedly there is one at West Shore Services that is owned by Fedsig.
I was told that they were going to restore one for them.
Now whether or not Fedsig can confirm this is another story.
It would be great if they started buying back some of their old sirens (working or not) for display at the factory.

Great Pictures Derek, I see they have the same attenna set up as they do in Dupree, on the DC, one is for local radio activation while the other connects to the state.
