P-15 gets replaced by an ATI HPSS32. Say what? That P-15 has got to be a HELL of a lot louder than that loudspeaker. Far field measurements? 2cm away from the speaker, yeah. Notice how ATI call it a High Powered Speaker Station, not a siren?
They could've put a much better siren there, if they really had to replace the P-15. Yes, it is at a nuclear power plant so battery backup would be nice, but they are wasting their money as ATIs require far more for the same coverage, and are actually really expensive. You could get a T-135AC/DC for the same price as that HPSS32, from what i've heard.
I wouldn't like to live near that power plant, especially with those sirens. I can just picture them failing under a meltdown.
