The System 7000 is a "mobile" siren system that has an electric generator built-in. In other words, the siren can run even if there is no power. I assume the generator is gas/diesel powered, so technically yes, the 7000 is gas/diesel powered.sirenman1bd wrote:Am I speaking correctly when I say the 7000 is gas powered?
Are these mounted on a pole, or roof, or do they just sit there on the ground?
No-go on roof mounting: The shelter alone weighs at or around 7500Lbs. That's much too heavy to put on many, if not most roofs as they exist. If it were new construction, the roof could be framed in a way to hold it up with little issue.soccerdude7330 wrote:The System 7000 is a "mobile" siren system that has an electric generator built-in. The siren sits on the ground. I don't think it would be possible to roof mount it.
Thanks. That's a pretty cool website also.DjT1003 wrote:The diagrams in my post above can all be found in the complete
System 7000 manual. I uploaded the PDF to the website below.
