The disc in the junked out tbeam I had at the house for a while weighed about 60 pounds. It was made out of some surprisingly thick steel.

What a fast rotation indeed! Too bad it'll be the end for this siren though. Thunderbeams aren't still made are they?

I noticed that, too. I watched it a few times and realized it was just switching directions back and forth, and not rotating. I figured it out by watching the position of the "support bracket" for the disc, if you will, and watching where it ended up when the siren wound down.
