New photos, plus some old ones

Tue Jun 29, 2010 11:40 pm

Well, last week I went up to Council Bluffs to visit family. They have a cabin out in Woodbine so we happened to pass by a good number of small towns. I've been busy so sorry for the lateness. Also, these are in no particular order.

This was the telltale 2001-DC in my Council Bluffs tornado warning video. It was further away than I had previously thought.

Then last but not least I passed these as I was driving home from Omaha, I've already called the person who owns the lot in which they are in. His company is in somesort of legal lawsuit and these are going to be scrapped. I believe these were off of Omaha's old system.

Wouldn't the Wright City Sentry be a 16V1T-B and not a 15V2T? The head looks to tall to be a 15V2T and tall enough for a 16V1T-B, and I believe the red box is a battery cabinet.
Resident of a county with big a mixture of sirens, but in the process of being replaced. :(

It very well could be, I really can't tell the difference between the two.

Poor Thunderbolts. Out of all the sirens a city had to take down it had to be these. I don't understand why they couldn't have been donated to another community. This is very puzzling.

Is that one to the right of the first and third images? Very odd screen and looks to have snapped off it's supports.

At first I thought it was a horn too, but as it turns out it's off of somesort of a Mobile Crane.

That second picture might be the mod at Boonville High School in Boonville, MO. Was there a truck stop with a Wendy's across the street? I'll be in Boonville tonight, I may drive by there and look and see if I can confirm.

BoonVille, MO has All Mods, (though there is an old Sterling at the Fire Station)
