Wicked video! I didn't know that 2001's could be so eire. It really makes you think that something very bad is about to happen. The sky also looks really cool. I guess everything just combines together to make this a really great video.

I remember that day clearly!! Our sirens were set off at least a half
dozen times!

Only thing i found weird was that the city set off all the sirens, instead
of just the affected zones, which they are supposed to do.

That is an awesome video. It is amazing that it is so loud even on such a high floor. Did any funnels touch down?

They do sound eerie ("eerie" as in "spooky" has two e's, "Erie" as in "don't drink the water" has one e)

Im usually not a fan of the 2001, but in this video they sound really harmonic. It must be due to all the skyscrapers and buildings around. Great Video whoever took it!!

How come they used the attack tone for a weather situation, most the time it's an alert tone.

Attack is used in Chicago for all emergencies, alert is strictly for testing. I guess it just gets the message across clearer. And there were 2 funnels sighted over the city, so if a tornado did strike down, it could have really hit anywhere.

Chicago says that they use an all clear, but the didnt that night. So maybe they scrapped the idea. Or whoever was operating the sirens that night didnt know to do it. Either way, I think all clear is a bad idea. It gives you the impression that the emergency is over. Its really not, if something did happen, you would have debris and power lines down and unstable structures.

No towns that i know of around here use All Clear. Its very useless
and confusing, in my opinion.

Situation: Sirens go off for tornado warning, then stop. 3 minutes
later, they go off again, when another tornado is comming.

There is half the people who think another one is comming when they
go off again.

The other half of people think its all clear and venture outside to see
what happened (when they get slammed in the face by a tornado :D )

I just don't think All Clear is a good idea, unles Attack designates danger
and Alert is only use for All Clear.
