It was removed from service a few weeks ago, and is now in the hands of "CrazyWarriorMan" who has a video of the chopper.

When the contractors cut the power, which was about a month ago.

Was the siren completely powered up, connected to radio/other activation means, and ready to go until then? I thought the town stopped using it a while ago. (It seems like they usually at least disable the radio control box, if not turn the power to the siren off at the service disconnect).

How was it activated back when it was still in service?

I have no idea what happened there, when I got there they told me it was powered up and ready to go. I suppose the town just forgot about it, don't know how they could've. It was landline activated.
