Truemetalist89 from YouTube took a video of the Sharonville STH-10 today, I filmed this one on August 5, 2009.

Here's the Tri-County 1000 taken by amtrak3501 in November. Here's a good reason why Hamilton County should hurry up to get the new sirens in. Notice the blower kick in late and a little bit of a waver?

I went by the Greenhills Thunderbolt today, now its pointed south! It did seem a little bit different last month, I wonder if this one just had an RF sync error, or it was purposely pointed south to provide better coverage since the rotator probably might be broken.

Didn't sound like the rotator was broken when I heard it a couple months ago, but it could have broken since then.

Or maybe it just had an RF sync error if it had been pointed in the same position for a while.

I found a great video from October 26! That nearest T-128 is at Madeira High School, I also hear a Thunderbolt 1000T in Kenwood and other T-128s.

Found another picture of the Arlington Heights siren by accident... I stumbled across this site last night while looking for photos of an old, forgotten section of Newport (consisting of at least 3 former trolley barns, exposed rail track from an abandoned section of the old L&N rail line and a massive former mill building):

Found at http://www.angelfire.com/yt2/lastword/r ... th10a.html

Someone needs to record that thing for the February test, being that it's one of only two STL-10s in the county.

This one actually isn't part of the system. And a minor correction, this is an STH-10. The only STH-10 left in the system is in Sharonville, and the only STL-10 left in the system is in Cleves, the one in Sycamore Township was taken down within the past year.

There is another STH-10 in Newtown not on the system. It is on Church st. about one block north of SR 32 on top of the Newtown Fire Dept.

Does the city use the STH-10s for some function even though they're not part of the county system anymore?

That STH-10 above is owned by The Village of Arlington Heights and I believe it was their fire siren, but I don't think it's used anymore, same with the one Jason mentioned in Newtown.
