Here is this month's recording of the Hamilton County Outdoor Warning Siren System. This is the Thunderbolt 1000T on top of Calhoun Hall at the University of Cincinnati.

It is a 1000T. After seeing the video with the 1000, I went to one of the siren Maps on Bing or Google to see where that video was taking from. The video was talking from the dormitories across the street from UC on Clifton Avenue. The 1000 that was heard could have been the one seen off of I-75 heading towards downtown. Just a guess though.carexpertandy wrote:So, is it a 1000 or 1000T? There was some confusion after seeing 2 videos where that was the closest siren.
It's probably the one on the EPA building. The one at Spring Grove and Arlington is too far away from there to be heard from that location. The one on the EPA building is a little over half a mile (as the crow flies) from the one on Calhoun Hall.nickrusche wrote:It is a 1000T. I know where that neighborhood is - it's only 10 minutes from my house.carexpertandy wrote:That neighborhood in that video with the 1000 was taken from is just to the west of UC's campus, so the one at Spring Grove & Alfred would be fairly close. Spring Grove & Arlington is where that stolen Tbolt used to be.
