Whelen Vortex R-4 Showing the "Double Activation"

This siren Shows what Sedgwick county does at it's best... the Dual Activation! The Siren clearly activates twice, and the second signal sent out is to attempt and get any sirens in the county to activate if they already haven't. This is one of their units with the "updated" cabinet, as it carries the 560hz tone.

They do a similar thing in Claremore. One activation from the PD, one from the FD. It is done for all emergencies, actually, giving a 6 minute alert signal.

If only OKC had every other siren or so as a 560Hz...that would make the entire system better IMO.
