Another update, I found the elusive siren Firth as well as got some pics of the STH-10's controls after I recorded it.

More pictures of the Firth Model 5

And the gallery for the STH- 10 with pictures of the AR timer and clock activation thing.

Great shots of the STH-10 controls. The city of Smyna, GA, where I formerly lived, had a system of STH-10s(now using Whelens). The EOC was in basement of police station.

I recall seeing a clock just like that one; it activated the sirens for the Saturday noon tests; there was a control box for the sirens in the EOC and another one upstairs in the police dept. communications room.

Yeah, I realize now that this timer is probably a dummy and that there is probably another one next to the RCM panel (which I'm guessing is in the back corner of the garage.) Kind of the same setup that Charlie did on his Thunderbolt.

edit: Meant Charlie, not David. Last name mixed me up somehow...

Yet another update, this time from Ucon. I think this might be the closest siren to me, but I'm not sure. I have heard that at least until four or five years ago that it used to sound at noon, but I have no idea if it still does. If it does still sound, I will be sure to get a recording of it.

Pictures here.

HUGE update this time. In chronological order:

Small speaker atop Swan Valley Fire District #2

GCS Model 3 near Palisades Dam

Federal Signal Model 5T on the Victor Fire Department

Two Model A sirens and a Model EG in Tetonia

Two model L sirens in Newdale on their unmanned fire department

Empty platform in Sugar City

Darley Champion in St. Anthony St. Anthony

Model 5 in Ashton on the Fire Department/City Hall

Keep your eyes open because I have a tip for a siren in Ammon, plus I found a Model 2 in Iona (and I am told there is a Model 5 there as well.) So, I should have pics of those soon. Wow, 21 sirens and counting. I didn't think it would get this far!

I could be mistaken but that might just be a fancy air vent of some sort lol. Did you get close enough to see if there were any openings for a chopper?

Yeah, I'd say that mystery siren is definately an air vent.

Yeah, from the back it looked like there was a stator in there. It sure has a small opening for an air vent, plus if it is it's sure fancy. Then again, I didn't see anywhere air could be drawn in.

Yeah the opening seems awfully small for a siren, but then again you saw it in person not me. But the main 2 things that make me think its an air vent are its proximity to the other siren and the way it appears to be connected to the building.
