Wow, that's it. Also, the fact that you guys can figure out the type of siren just by hearing it in a jumble of other sirens lol.

You will get there. I can almost guarantee it! I was right there with you about two years ago. But after listening to sirens over and over, and hearing what sound goes with what siren, you just know. I sent an e-mail to the VCU police about the sirens, so hopefully they can provide some more information about it.

That ambience is absolutely stunning. I've always loved hearing 2001s in fast wail, and that unexpected Eclipse that was in the mix was great. It's kind of funny to see a college with a mechanical siren system versus an electronic system being that alot of colleges want to use the sirens as loudspeakers.

Interesting. UNC has flash raves and VCU has flash mobs and down here on the beach we just have drunk girls who flash
VCU is interesting though as must colleges opt for electronic sirens with voice warning.

So, I hope it's okay to ask this in a siren thread - but what exactly is this Flash Mob?? Obviously, it has something to do with being in a certain place at a certain time, and then you use some sort of cue to freeze for a given length of time. Is that correct? I've just never heard of this before.

Thats what it is. Have you ever heard of a flash dance? Same concept. You just have a set time for it to happen, and when that time comes, you freeze in whatever position you were in when it comes. Usually, there is a set length for it.
