Here in Southeast Lower Michigan, we used to have several vertical sirens like this made by Sterling. The one located in Dundee, before they obtained their Federal 500AT, looked more like a large model 7?, sans the rocket looking hoods, and more like a tin can. I believe they had a 5-10 horsepower motor.
