Well, all I had were two more, and it's not letting me upload the 2001-130 at Spring Lake campground. So, the only one left here is the old Thunderbolt on Wigwam Hollow Rd, next to Macomb cemetery. Since this one and the Thunderbolt at the Armory on Grant St weren't listed in your reply from the city, I assume they have been taken out of service. It's nice to see them still standing. If they are going to take them down, I'd sure love to buy one. The Armory is only a few blocks from my house, it would be easy to get.

Wow, who in the heck installed those new ones? Apparently they've never heard of a plumb-bob to check and see if the pole's straight or not... That's rather disappointing to see, especially considering the large ASC presence in the surrounding areas (aside from Bushnell with their Sentry sirens). At least they didn't do a one-for-one replacement, that would have been a major downgrade in coverage area per siren over the Thunderbolts they replaced. Still, would have been much better to have gone with 508s instead of the 130s. I'm assuming the 2T on the back of the courthouse is staying to warn people on the square? There's really no other feasible way to efficiently replace that little guy that I can see, other than with a new Model 2 or something which would really be pointless.

Wow, it looks like they disconnected the blower on the Thunderbolt at the Q-lot.

Ian, I completely agree. Every one of them looks crooked to me! Sorry I didn't have enough time to get out and take closer pics. I just wanted to go around and get quick pics of all of the sirens around town last night. I'll try to get back out this weekend and maybe check those old Thunderbolts out a bit closer.

Good god those are some crooked installations. I wonder if Braniff Comm put those in? They are in that area.

I went by the Armory on Grant Street here in Macomb on Saturday and they have taken down the thunderbolt at that location last week. There is just an outdoor light at the top of that pole now. Listening to the tests today at 10am, no longer hear any thunderbolts. Sad. :( The one on Wigwam Hollow Rd is still standing but I don't believe it is in use any longer. I should have been able to hear that one from my current location. The one at WIU was unhooked as seen in the pictures. I have not driven by it yet to see if they took it down last week as well. I should find out today.

The Thunderbolt at WIU has been removed. The old 2T22 out near Whalen Manufacturing at Doran and Hemp roads has also been removed. As of right now, the Thunderbolt on Wigwam Hollow Rd still stands.
