I seriously doubt Sentry would jump a project of that size. They haven't really expressed much interest in large systems.

cough Evansville.
I would be very unshocked to see a system of 508's go up. That or Whelens, as Texas Tech has upgraded to those, and people talk. Everyone sure seems to have a hardon for the 508, though, granted it's a very good product.

Sentry seems to be fairly popular around here. We have the Sentry system here in Evansville, Warrick County has nothing but Sentry's with the Sterling, and many counties around here have random Sentry's throughout their systems.
Sentry is also, as stated, somewhat popular around that area. It would be nice to see a larger city go with them. Who knows.

I'd honestly be in favor of Sentry or American Signal.

Refurbished T-bolts and/or XT22s would be epic.

I'd like to see ASCs, preferably T-128s

I am a little late on this, but it looks like the city has the preliminary go-ahead from the Council of The City of Weather Exemptions......er...Lubbock to start taking bids on the new siren system. Everyone seems to be in agreement that a system is wanted/needed. From all of the news I have read it sounds like they have talked to Amarillo quite a lot, so hopefully 508's! I would be very interested in a system of battery Sentries, but I don't know if they would bite at such a large project. It's going to take at least 75 sirens to actually cover the population, but I think the commission [as per usual west texas towns do] got a little overzealous with the map. Lots and lots of overlap. I am guessing that's going to run them about $2,000,000.
This is long overdue. Sorry for the map quality, it's the only one I can find online.

It's kinda hard to tell without the roads but it looks like they are covering the airport to the north too. Thats alot of over coverage. With the wind around here, not a bad idea. If this goes through, will have to make a trip down south to get a little video of it.
