That might be a Toshiba siren. Do you have any photos of it?

Hawaii and many mainland areas order their sirens green. No idea why. The blue ones are the ones that irritate me.
The CD sirens in Hawaii were painted dark green for visually-pleasing aesthetic reasons. Actually, the sirens were all colored yellow before, up until about the mid 90's. Of course the paint takes a beating from the constant sun here, so most of the sirens here are half light green and half dull yellow. The Thunderbolt that I recorded actually had it's paint slowly stripped away from the coconut trees that rub up against the projector.

I don't know what this means in Tennessee, but in Oregon, dude is not meant to be an insult. Sorry if you took it that way.

Nobody calls me dude. And I am just kindly noting that going around town and looking around (or recalling previous locations for us to investigate) would be more helpful than asking for a list of sirens. That's like asking for a list of sirens in San Diego:

...

... umm... well, there are none, but you get the point.

The electronics are green and the mechanicals are faded CD (dull) yellow. Seems more darker green to me, though.

Seriously? That's pretty weird... you think the EMA would notice and try to remove the tree... it may be hindering sound projection.
