I was just riding the bus today, and I saw a pole laying down at the fire department. Good news! The old Screamer is on that pole! I might go out and get some pictures to show you, and look for that siren on the top of Kraft. It could be a Banshee like Calvin said, but we'll have to see. Just a random question, what time does Auburn test?

Awesome! Hopefully it'll be relocated somewhere. You probably saw our video of the Wayne Center Screamer, which was just recently removed from the roof, put on a new pole and fitted with new controls. Looks like Kendallville cares more about the older sirens than we thought.
As for Auburn, they test 1st Saturday of the month at noon, that is if the dispatch center remembers to do it. The sirens only go for 30 seconds max.

Awesome! Phew, I was nervous that perfectly functional screamer was going to go in the garbage. My guess is the screamer will be relocated in a less dense, less populated part of town since it is older and could be considered less reliable. Tyler and I will be in Kendallville again this weekend. Were going to see if the new 130 has been turned on yet, (last week when I checked it was not) and film another weekly test, most likely a Banshee. The past couple of times we have been there they have been on time for the test. I'm glad to see them caring about their system. If your ever interested, We'd love to meetup sometime. Always nice to talk face to face with a fellow siren enthusiast.

Looks like they stripped all the controls and motor starter off it.

For a siren going back in service the controls missing has got me thinking that it's not going back into service.

Just the opposite. Kendallville has been upgrading the controls on all of it's older sirens. There was a rooftop Screamer that was just removed and pole mounted, and was fitted with these custom controls.
And the old yellow Banshee at North Side School just got an FC.

I'm also guessing that they are gonna put it on a new pole. The current one is bent very badly, So they might need to get a new pole and put the screamer on there. I also noticed that the SRNB at Parkview Therapy is getting bent. Maybe some guy wires to support it?

I noticed that. The downtown SRNB isn't exactly straight either.

Sorry for the double post, but I just received this email from Mike regarding the Screamer. Looks like it'll be placed in a mobile home park or the like.
