You can get a 7.5hp single phase blower motor for about $600-$700.

I might have a single phase motor, but I think it is about 1 1/2 hp, would that be enough to power the blower?
This is all donation work, can't afford to spend 600-700 dollars.

1 1/2 might not be enough. In fact I would bet that it's not… As for a cheaper option… I don't know.

This is probably going to be out of the question, but a fellow member replaced the 3 phase motor on his Thunderbolt motor with a small gas engine. Maybe that could be an alternative?

Thanks again for all your help.
I will be at the boy scout camp this morning, and I will try to fire up the chopper mtr.
Will get back to you.

As a last resort you can put a static phase converter on it. Just remove about half the relief valve weights so the motor won't bog down.

I connected 120vac to the chopper mtr, and there was only a very low hum coming from the housing.
The cable is a so cable #12w blk/wht coming out of the yellow steel tube, I believe thats the chopper wires.
The only other wires in the housing are (3) wht wires connected to the rotor plate which I think go to red/blk/wht wires for the solenoids, and the rotor mtr leads.

Sounds like something might be jammed in the chopper motor. That happened to me on my thunderbolt. Remove the chopper motor and clean it out and then test it.

Is it possible that the chopper solenoid needs to be energized for the chopper mtr to operate?
