I think I got lost somewhere.
There has been talk from several people over the years about making scale Thunderbolts. I still haven't seen another one other than mine
and the other guy on youtube that built that cool one out of wood. I think he was in Taiwan.
I would love to see someone else do one but they just never seem to materialize.
I just need A 1003's dimensions :)

I'm surprised there's not a Chinese knockoff made yet.
dimensions of a thunderbolt can be quite time consuming.
I did it for Ralph Ratcliff for his 1:87 scale one he makes.
I may have that drawing somewhere, but it's for a 1000/T not a 1003

I believe ARS member "Elliott" created one a few years ago and tried to program it to go off whenever a weather alert was issued - it didn't get much farther than the preliminary stages of that, iirc. His was pretty small, maybe around 1/40 scale.

Or is that yours that I'm thinking of?

I think the one Elliott made was a T-128.

On a small side note, my 250th post. Woohoo :)

(OT but to answer confusions of above posts)

It was a T-128 built of a soda can IIRC. It had a speaker in the horn and was wired to a male 1/4" jack that plugged into a female 1/4" jack and was fed audio from a home made box that made siren sounds when activated by his weather radio. What he did want to do was rig up a rotator to it but it had issues popping and cracking from rotating on the plug so he had the idea of hard wiring it and making it rotate like a Whelen. Don't know if that worked or if he did it though.
