In the siren fundraising video, that yellow siren was cool looking. I don't know what it is, but is definitely looks like a prototype ACA siren, most likely a Screamer.

I also think it's an early ACA, maybe a Cyclone?

Looks like something blew the cover off.

You know, we should try to contact that girl and donate our resources to help her achieve her goal. Either by donating a siren or money. And forget the $70,000 tower, a telephone pole will do just fine!

Here's the email of the guy who did the story...Frank Vascellaro. I bet he'd know how to get in touch with her. Jason, I think you're right...someone (or someone we know) should be able to come up with something.

Makes you wonder how often the people at ASC, Federal, Sentry, etc. donate sirens to worthy causes. I know ASC did it with Siren, Wisconsin's siren, but that's the only one I've ever heard of.

I sent them an e-mail through the link at the bottom of the page, but I will e-mail the reporter as well. BTW Pete, the e-mail for the reporter is the one for the first story, Bridgette Bornstein did the article about the girl raising the siren money :P I'll e-mail her as well.

If the old siren was a early Screamer, the ASC retrofits would be a T-112, or an Alertronic AL-1000. However, if it's a Cyclone, the replacements would be a T-121, or AL-8000.

I really like this vid!
Yes, the 408 is definitely a rarity.

I thought the 2001 was funny. It'd be funny to dub the sound of someone puking when the 2001 ?pukes? the snow out.

That older siren in the video is a Soundmaster 115. Someone on this board had a bunch of info on them a while back.

Just got an e-mail from the news people:

Hi! My name is Maria Awes and I was the producer on the storm siren piece. Bridgette Bornstein, our reporter, did the follow up interview with Jamie who is the girl trying to get the siren. I have forwarded your contact information to Jamie. I know she?ll be appreciative!!

Thanks,

Maria

We'll see what happens. Maybe one of us can donate a siren or something.
