Argh, all these embedded videos are making this thread take forever to load. How about I just post a link instead...

After thinking about it for a while, I'm going to have to go with this recording of a Thunderbolt 1000T in Glassport, PA. It sounds absolutely bone-chilling. Imagine waking up in the middle of the night during the Cold War to that sound.

Hey, is there a way to disable embedded videos and have them just show up as links instead? That would be great.

Those are just a few of my favorites.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QE2889kMPAc This one! It has my baby going off. It's the higher pitched one after the lower pitched one (Which I have the controls to) winds down. (Daniels video.)

I agree with you on the Glassport Thunderbolt. Sure is creepy!

There is a way around the embedded videos. It's called clicking the URL under the video.

I do also like DJ's recording of the Thunderbolt in The Rock, which I feel deserves a nod:

Now THOSE are thunderbolts. That 1000T is so smooth and the video of the 1000 in the rock really gives it a good perspective!

This ACA Cyclone recording made by Tyler Shaw (video credit goes to him). I love how the wind really exposes the gritty roar of the siren.

My favorite would have to be Nick Rusche's video of the Amberley Village Thunderbolt:

Other than that, any of DSRX100's videos are pretty dang amazing. And high quality as well.

No, the problem is that when I click on the thread, it takes like a minute for the whole page to load. I access the board on a laptop and it's not exactly lightening-quick. It's got nothing to do with actually watching the videos themselves. What I really hate is when someone quotes a post with videos in it. It's absolutely pointless and just adds on to the lag.

I apologize for going off-topic. It's just annoying when you have to wait so long after clicking on a thread with a lot of videos. I know there's a way to disable links and images, but not videos as far as I know.

Sorry for overloading this topic. But here are some of my favorites videos I can list (including my videos):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vu3ZLUL72oc
^This video has been my favorite video for a long time. Was recorded by lildil39485. I love the echo!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CmLBtMnImrk
^Ah yes, my video of the Thunderbolt 1003 hi-lo signal in Silverstreet, SC. Is my best recording!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qLlVBcYUo4
^Another my video, witch is the Model 2 that sounds high pitched. I like the sound of it!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=heJH_wSCGpE
^And another my video. But this is my Model A sounding for a long blast, for a Severe T-storm warning. I like the echo and other reason.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vq1JqEH2bes
^STH-10 attack signal from Nick Silcox. I like the sound of the STH-10! I liked the video for a long time.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J0QXLSSqgtY
^500AT recording from jayhawk29, I like the old sound of the 500AT.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=btGnOr-OSPI
^And last, Ian's (murrfarms') recording of the Thunderbolt 1000. I pretty much like the echo and the sound of the siren.

That's all I can show off for now, I don't know why I listed 3 of my videos.
