Those Mods sound like they have Siratone controllers on them.

They most likely replaced the old EOWS 1212's

There used to be a video of that silent Modulator in view doing pulsating wail back in 2007ish. It's been deleted, though.

I think that is a couple of Model 2s peaking at the pitch of a Carter siren. You can hear them independently wind down. In you recording the components seemed to wind down in sync with each other.

Hello everyone, new to the forum.
I was (am) the one who took those pictures in back in 1998 of the Sarnia ACA Allertronics from the Siren board... My cousin had original videos on his channel to which both of us shared. We were both obsessed with these things. Sadly he passed away a few years ago and I have been trying to track down the original videos that he had on his computer.
From what I remember. these were dual toned, with a "wonky" timbre to them. The existing videos on youtube do not do this siren justice. They had no soft windup either, usually startle the crap out of anyone, and like I said the tone was pretty ear piercing, there was long wind down as well. Only ever remember hearing them in 'attack' mode once when they first went into operation, but testing was usually a 3 minute 'alert'. Unlike our present day ATI system (which is tested every Monday at 12:30 along with our Chemical Valley siren tests), the Allertronics never had a set test time. Usually they were tested once maybe twice a year, but most of the time if you did manage to hear them it was a single growl/whoop test (Surround sound if you were in the middle of the city LOL)

Anyways I posted this video on this channel (to which I don't even remember the password) but it's all the pictures I took in 1998, some were taken in 2012 just before they were removed. Three out of the 11 locations (Lyons Park, Vital North, Lansdowne Park) where the first to get replaced with ATI's at the beginning of 2002 so I have the only known pictures of these before they were replaced. I will continue to look for the audio. Cheers.

I was just thinking about those! I've been wondering what happened to those videos. Sorry to hear about your cousin. I remember commenting on his videos a few years ago. Hopefully you can find those files and get them reuploaded.
