I saw 2 of the 28XXs today, one by the zoo, another out on park point.

If you are planning on staying for a test, do Duluth' s 2800's. They run in a one minute alert cycle and finish with voice. Don't follow in my footsteps by testing one of Hermanton' s Vortex' s, silly me, sitting there for 10 minutes waiting for voice... also, if you are in Proctor, I would swing by the Proctor Golf course to see an STH-10 and an SD-10 mounted on a rooftop. They would make great contenders for the lowest siren thread, if I had a picture.

Thanks for the information. I will definitely try to see the STH-10 and the SD-10, but I'm traveling with my family so they might not want to go out there. I'm leaving tomorrow so I won't be able to stay for a test :(

Yep, that is a Vortex, both the square box on the rotator and the single control box.

It could be a Vortex, or a 4004, the only way to tell is to look into the horn to see where the screen is, from what I hear.
Or look at the rotator.
