Though here in Cincinnati, there are a few sirens located on church property, some being on top of a building.

IIRC, wasn't there a church up there where the pastor purposefully knocked over one of the new T-128s because they didn't like how close the siren was to the church?

Well from what I heard, there used to be a Allertor there until it got replaced several years ago and it was replaced with a T-128. The pastor of the church took a bulldozer and knocked over the T-128 and ended up paying for another brand new T-128.

Yeah, the Allertor was installed a bit far back from the building, and the T-128 was installed literally right next to the building, so the pastor knocked it over with a bobcat. They did have to pay about $25,000 for the new T-128, which was also installed right next to the building, and that one has been standing since, though I think there's still a big hole in the ground that the pastor dug up to knock over the first T-128.

By me they are on poles either in parkways, at fire stations, or parks. One is roof mounted. In Chicago, almost all are located in parkways near alley entrances to be close to power lines. A few are in parks. One is roof mounted.

Generally what I have noticed in Ontario is that most sirens are mounted on a pole. The closest you can get to a building mount is a pole mounted on a building with a siren on top of it. But there has been a time where I saw a Model 2 mounted on a street light.
