A few more updates/photos. ANS has been working their arses off to get all of the sirens upgraded on schedule. They had to call in ASC to come help because the T-128's are so royally screwed up. As I probably mentioned before, the original installer of the T-128s, Tri Electronics, had no idea what they were doing and botched the installs.

Also, the town of Ogden Dunes cannot seem to make up their mind about where they want the new T-128 to go. Their original idea was to put it on Ski Hill Road, but the residents threw a hissy fit about it "depreciating property values" and other related "not in my backyard" BS. Then, it was going to go right on the beach. 300ft from shore. Now, the town wants to do a direct replacement of the 2T22. Take the 2T22 down and stick a 128 on that tower. Nothing is final yet with Ogden Dunes, but rest assured if the 2T22 gets removed it'll most likely end up somewhere else in the county.

Here are the pictures. Some of these are mine and some are Matt's.

The "new" STH-10. This came from a guy in Crown Point who had it sitting in his backyard for 10 years. His plan was to restore it and put it on display, but he never got around to it. It came from a VFD somewhere in the area.

Thanks for the updates! Where did the Odgen Dunes siren end up? Have they done anything with the STH-10s and Model 5 yet?

The Ogden Dunes T-128 was installed right next to the 2T22. Nothing has been done with the old sirens yet, that is the last step of the upgrade. Only a few of the 2001s have been upgraded so far. The 2T22 will most likely come down and be refurbished as well.

That's unfortunate that people complained about putting that siren out where additional coverage was needed. I bet they'll complain again when they get hit by a tornado and hear no sirens.

Did they put the Indiana Dunes siren at the campground?

The dunes siren ended up at the maintenance building. Right by the main entrance.
