By "tropical plant", I assume you mean a palm tree? Palm trees grow not just Hawaii, but also the Carolinas, Florida, Texas, California, Arizona, Louisiana, and Georgia.stormsetter4 wrote:Pretty sure that picture was taken in Hawaii, looks a lot like how they installed them, that and the tropical plant pretty much sums it up.

Oh geese! That 2T22A is leaning a bit. Looks like the top is about to snap off. :\ This is a little of topic but the Waikiki Library Thunderbolt (and the Ala Wai Park Thunderbolt) have just been officially replaced today by 2 Modulator IIs. I checked out the Waikiki Library Thunderbolt and snapped some pictures of it. The disconnect switch was in its OFF position. Heres are some closeups I took of the siren and the wooden controls. *EDIT* Heres 2 pictures I took.Busgeek71 wrote:Not sure if it's relevant at this point, but there's a 2T22A with that box in Owasso, OK. All the other old sirens in Owasso had the usual yellow CD boxes. I'm guessing this one's older than the rest? They were all installed in '79 though. This was the only one like this, not sure why...
