I am so sick of that line of reasoning. No one with ears will mistake a 2001 for a firetruck in the real world. They're not even remotely similar in timbre. And they're eerie let me tell you. A 2001 in attack will send chills down your spine.gman 1 wrote:I honestly don't think that 2001s are good sirens. Just today a friend told me that he thought his sirens sounded like fire trucks. I agree with him too. They need to sound less like a fire truck, and more like an outdoor warning siren.
Well here's someone who confused a 2001 for a fire truck, thought I should share this after what you said. In reality, it's probably just how the person thinks.uncommonsense wrote:I am so sick of that line of reasoning. No one with ears will mistake a 2001 for a firetruck in the real world. I have tried contacting the EMA about it but they said it's going to another city and they didn't say what city it's going to. As for the 3016's all but 2 or 3 have been replaced with 2900's.Crazywarriorman wrote:Has anyone tried pursuing the Thunderbeam? It would definitely be an interesting siren to own. As far as O'Fallon goes, do they still have all their 3016s? I've seen a few driving on the interstate so if someone could enlighten me it would be greatly appreciated.
