Thats probably why they did that. I know of a video where there was a 2T22 with a black tube sticking into the intake. During the winter months, they would connect a tube to the exhaust of a truck which would help warm up the siren. So maybe with this 10V they are using the heat coming from the rooftop air conditioner to warm up the siren.
