Yeah, Darley didn't clone, it was as Ohio_Man stated, probably best termed as rebadging.

They are probably older Grifco sirens since they are an Australian siren company. A Grifco copy of a Federal perhaps?

Potentially, We went through Grifco's site ages ago through the Wayback machine, and nothing matched this really. Still, could be from before their site or even not listed on the site at all.

There has been another post on this forum, saying that GCS could very well be Federal Electric. If this is the case, it will explain the presence of these sirens quite well, as Federal had a small market in Australia.

Speaking of Grifco, here's a "Model 2" they made. It could be possible that the siren is a Grifco, given the similarities between them and Federal...

This could make very good sense, though, I think we need to see the housing of it, if there is one, to make a conclusion.

Decent update:

So upon doing hours and hours of research, I found this video on Youtube:

As you can see in the background, the same sort of siren is on the tower!
The siren is a distinct 5 port, which makes it more likely to be a Model 2, or a copy of.

After finding the siren on maps and confirming it was the one we are interested in, I emailed the fire department it's located at.

After a few email exchanges, they have been doing research and talking to members of the department to try and figure this out for me. I suggested looking at the siren itself for an ID tag, but they said no one is qualified to climb the tower. I will update you all when they respond with an answer.

My "cheat" for looking at sirens up close is an old pair of Bushnell binoculars I got for selling enough popcorn in scouts. I forget the exact zoom ratio, but it's a compact one so it's not very strong. Regardless it gets the job done.

Other than that they aren't used for much except Miss. Starlings' bedroom window I mean birdwatching.

As I was on holidays in Albury NSW I have spotted a GCS in red if I’m 100% sure but it’s at Albury metro fire station, not sure if it’s active anymore but next time I come down I’ll ask ten fire station

EDIT: almost forgot to point out it’s also the siren on my profile picture.
