I wouldn't just slap "grifco" on there. It appears to have a chopper around the same size as a Model 7 and it also appears to have a support bar coming from the stator assembly going up into the shroud. It might be a Model 7 with a custom shroud. (Don't say that it's unreasonable for a siren to get shipped all the way there. I've seen several examples of sirens from Australia in America and vice versa.)
Where have you seen an Australian siren in America?
I've seen a couple model 7s, a presumed cyclone, and new Whelens (Vortexes I believe) are being installed every year.
And hey, the 888 was based off of the Model 2, so that
technically counts as an American siren. And there's like 500 of those.
Late to the party, these are the American sirens we have:
Whelen Vortexes
Whelen 2900's
Sterling Little Giants
Fedelcode Model 2
Now-removed Fedelcode Model 5/7's (We were a huge buyer of Fedelcode products during the 40's)
Federal Signal Model 2 (Not a Grifco 888, an actual model 2.)
Sentry 16v1T-B's (2 of them, at a refinery)
