I was guessing that perhaps the station was built by a Frank Lloyd Wright admirer, so a pergola on the roof would not be out of order. Cupolas do make better siren shelters, but it's not always an attractive installation. Its hard to see, but in this building, which is the Wallowa County courthouse in Enterprise, Oregon, the cupola contains not a bell but a badly-painted Model 5:CTsirenhunter wrote:Daniel- Thanks, and no, I'm not some sort of lit major, I just happen to know what a pergola is. Now, it could be that they also have an electronic siren, or it was one in a nearby town.
