That is essentially the same basic series as the ECN, in terms of its technical properties.

The Hormann ECN series is one of the few electronic siren designs which is actually done right, because they use horn and driver configurations designed to maximize output efficiency as well as durability. ECNs are every bit as efficient, if not more, as a Whelen.

I believe System 7000s were Thunderbolts mounted with their blower in a huge "box" and there was a gas powered generator and would be used incase the power went out during an emergency. I've only seen one, on the roof of the Amarillo TX police dept.
