Allen had some of those receivers on their old sirens. I ended up with one of those when I got the last haul of sirens from Gainseville so I guess Gainseville used them too. The one I had had been rained in for several years. I gave it to a friend of mine who's into radio stuff.
What did Gainesville do with that 2t22 thats in the pics from your page??

Talk about a siren lover's wet dream. That allertor looks like the proverbial ugly duckling amongst the Federal sirens! :)

Nice Allertor. The others are nice, too.

All you need is a Hurricane siren in your collection. :p

Nice collection!

An ideal type of blower to use on a 'Cane or T-Bolt but probably lighter than a rotary lobe (Roots) blower would be a centrifugal compressor style blower. I've seen some pet stores use them to pump air to their display aquariums & one car wash use the inlet of one to supply suction to the collector tanks of it's dry vacuum system. The Chrysler chopper uses that type of blower built into it. I would believe if you were near T-Bolt or Hurricane with a centrifugal compressor type blower you would hear a sound similar to a turbine engine spooling up before or when the chopper started.

You could also use a screw blower, like what IHI or Lysholm makes but you'd have to change the drive ratio because they put out almost twice the amount of air volume and pressure as a Roots blower of the same size.
