SON OF A B***H!!!!!

Wed Jun 11, 2008 5:37 pm

Today was a scheduled siren test day for Milwaukee County. I called up the County EM office as I usually do to check if they were going to test today. If they were, I was going to make the short trip to the Wauwatosa city dump and finally get a decent recording of the new T-135AC/DC. The guy I talked to said no siren test today because it's too cloudy (slightly overcast). Then at noon, I opened the window in my room to see what I could hear. Sometimes if the wind's right you can hear sirens from quite a distance away- municipalities well outside Milwaukee county that also test on Wednesdays. Anywho, I looked at my clock and it said 12:00. Nothing. Then, just as my luck would have it, the only siren to test was the T-135, singing away all by it's lonesome. I think, as some of you have pointed out about my tornado warning video, this siren might have a broken rotator. I also think that ASC may have had guys out there fixing it, and today's fiasco was a test to be sure it now works properly. It still wasn't very loud today, so maybe something else is still wrong. Still, I'm mad that I could have recorded it were I properly informed.
