No, they wouldn't. they are definitely keeping them for a while.
if anything, they'd most likely replace it with an RM-130, as
thats what most of the sirens are. since they use all ACA produts
now, i highly doubt they'd go with Federal.

You would prolly love the Banshee...i loved hearing them in my hometown of Meriden, KS.

some allertors did, but i think those were called Mobil-directos or
Howlers or something. The belt is visible. This and most allertors
runs of the copper motor by using a gear reducer.

ACA Howlers are the ones driven by a belt. Mobil directos where made by Biersach and Niedermeyer and where chain driven and where pre-allertor. And back in the early 40's and 50's they were made for over seas in the war for bases that did not have power.
