Did anybody isolate whether the problem was the siren itself or something in the control system? If it is the siren, is there a pattern for which subsystem(s) fail?500AT wrote:What a bummer, another run-of-the-mill 2001. I would not have minded if they would of went with a ASC T-128 or better yet, a T-135. Sadly, during the last test in the Ann Arbor area, three 2001s failed to activate, two of which, are not even a year old.
Not yet, the service technician is supposed to be here sometime late this week.Jim_Ferer wrote: Did anybody isolate whether the problem was the siren itself or something in the control system? If it is the siren, is there a pattern for which subsystem(s) fail?

On their site, it appears that they did, but as with Federal Signal in general, they probably still make the 2001 SRN-B on some orders, though they don't have it in their products-list anymore.TSMaster5150 wrote:Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't FS replace the SRNB series with the 130 series?SirenMadness wrote:What a shame! That is one nice-looking T-Bolt. At least it's replaced with a 2001-130, and not a 2001 SRN-B! Now THAT would have sucked!
The same situation with the EOWS 612, that was made until 2006 but disappeared from the literature in the 90's.SirenMadness wrote:On their site, it appears that they did, but as with Federal Signal in general, they probably still make the 2001 SRN-B on some orders, though they don't have it in their products-list anymore.TSMaster5150 wrote:Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't FS replace the SRNB series with the 130 series?SirenMadness wrote:What a shame!
