Nope, that's the one in Taycheedah. Justin and I both were really surprised that it actually went off for the test this time. Perhaps the reason that it didn't go off that last test when Jerry was under it was because of just that, someone being under it.. :?:

Thanks for all of the kind comments. :)

Archon, no, it is not that one. The SoundMaster you see in the video is from Taycheedah, WI. I am surprised it was still there, since, there is supposed to be a ThunderBolt 1000T near it. I didn't get to see it, but, I went there to record a SoundMaster 115. :P Might try and see the ThunderBolt 1000T in the future. Who knows.

Jerry, did you go to the siren right at noon on a Saturday? That seems to be, when, all of Fond Du Lac County tests their sirens. :)

The reason the siren has a clearer, and deeper, possibly, tone, is because, it has that "benchgrinder" styled chopper assembly, as opposed to, the "stacked" kind you see on SD-10s, P-50s, etc. I was surprised, though, that, the siren sounded almost just like a Cyclone. The siren was quite loud. It made the windows in the CR-V shake around a bit.

Here's some pictures I got of the siren, in case, you were all wondering where any other pictures where.

Justin,The thunderbolt that your looking for in Taycheedah was actually miss-labeled by Archon. It is actually in St Peter. There is also a T-bolt in Malone. Both are from Fondy's old system. The one in Saint Peter is set at tap 4, the one in Malone is set on tap 6. Both are 1000T's.

Sorry to bring up an old topic, but why does the sound have sort of an up and down throughout the video. Kind of sounds like its trying to do hi-low or something. Or like a soundclip is being repeated...anyone else notice?

The siren may have been trying to do the Pulse signal.

I wish I could re-record this siren, but the siren was hit by lightning in late 2009, and is pending repairs. It will cost about $2000 to fix.

In the youtube description you metioned it was removed.

Did it go to the repair shop (and get put back up once fixed) or will it get replaced by another siren?

Also, what happed to it after it got hit by lightning? ( I would assume it screwed up the controls and motor, but maybe it was something else).

They are trying to repair it. Not sure who's repairing it.

No information on the damage, but the control box was left on the pole.

Here is a photo of the pole.
