Could they not just replace the motor?
48 volts DC? DC because of the RED and BLACK wires.
How many horsepower?
Peak RPM?
Wish there were a ruler there to show size.

The thing is probably going to be sent back to the factory Robert. It's 48VDC, 7 1/2 horsepower, not so sure about the RPM.

7 1/2 horsepower
I thought that the Tempest were rated at that. I think that the Eclipse is an entire horsepower below, like the 2001 SRN-B.

For a motor so small, though, that looks like allot of power.

Thank you, holler.
Wow! Seems like a lot of horsepower from such a small motor.
Also surprised that a 10 hp three-phase motor "rotor" is so small.

Derek told me that the city that both the Eclipse*8 & Eclipse*NH are going to be removed in favor of an electronic siren.

They didn't like the sirens that they bought so...**shrugs**

Those little motors must have a lot of torque, the NH and 8 I recorded both twisted upon activation.

Speaking of new requirements, what exactly is Fema saying in the CPG 1-17 update?
