Yeah my dad was fussing at me about the fact the I didn't have the generator running wide open (I had it set on 60hz, part throttle). So for the next run I ran it wide open just to shut him up. I brought home my meter from work which reads Hertz so I'm going to see if the gauge is right and settle this argument once and for all.

Yeah I think my back two cylinders are getting overfueled, or the front two are getting underfueld. I just know from experience that naturally aspirated diesels tend to smoke like a freight train when they are put under a load.

and sitting for 10 years doesn't help the injectors any either. It's gotten a little better since that video, I mixed some kerosene in with my diesel that was already filled injector cleaner.

N/A diesels are interesting like that with the smoke under a load. i figure it's because there's no turbo that's creating boost. under a load you can dump more fuel in, but your still getting the same amount of air since the engine can't spin up as fast as it would with no load on it. Therefore you get an incomplete burn, more fuel than the engine can cleanly burn at least, and the smoke.
