There is a grand history of bell production in Cincinnati. The Verdin Company (oldest bell manufacturer in the U.S.) Here is a neat little known secret of Cincinnati. This place is really neat.

That is definitly unusual to see a Tbolt on a church.
There was one atop educational wing of Eastland Baptist Church in Nashville.
I don't know if it's still there or not. Nashville Tbolts were silenced in the early 80s but they remained in place for years afterward(some are still in their original locations).

I have seen sirens located on/adjacent to church property. Cobb County, GA system once had a Tbolt in corner of Macland Baptist Church parking lot; a Vortex is there now. City of Smyrna, GA relocated one of its STH-10s to edge of 1st Baptist parking lot(also a Vortex there now).

Years ago Smyrna tested its system every Saturday at noon. I told the EMA director that 11:55 Sunday would be a better time, but he didn't think too much of that idea!

I guess it's WWJDGAT: What Would Jesus Do? Get a Thunderbolt! :)

Also, I noticed that this thread is starting to drift a bit.

Well, in Hamilton County, we have a few churches with sirens. Even my church has one. If I think about the ones in Hamilton County, most are on poles, but in Madeira, there's a T-128 on top of one of the buildings at St. Gertrude Church. It's low mounted, and replaced a higher mounted Thunderbolt a few years ago.
Resident of a county with big a mixture of sirens, but in the process of being replaced. :(

Huh, when I first saw the title, I pictured an old Thunderbolt with rust holes. This works though, better than the electronic bells on the some of the churches out here. It'll be more hilarious and easier to make jokes if it was an EOWS* siren. You could use the EOWS* as an after-church bell. It'll just mean not many will stay long after church though. Instead of the "All Clear" (Sorry, I forgot the real name of the signal.) signal, you could (in sketchy theory...) program another signal into it. Or even in any other electronic siren too. The ATIs could do that, but it'll only be a one time deal. A Whelen omnidirectional siren would do good, if I remember, the latest series is the 2900 series? If so, a 2903 would be more then enough, or tolerable, either or I suppose. Let's just not get talking about modern electronic sirens, we really wouldn't want the poor thing replaced, would we?

So, apparently, I like Federal Signal...

I'm guessing this is a fairly old TBolt. I'm not sure when the church was built, but according to the school's website, the school was built in 1949. Based on the architecture I'm guessing that the church itself was built in the 50s or early 60s.

I'll bet you'll never see a siren on a hospital. Anyone have any pictures to prove that wrong. :P  Do post as a different topic though.

I think Paducah Kentucky has one a hospital. I'll see if I can find a pic.
