The hiccup doesn't mean crap in my opinion, but thanks for the concern. :|
I just put in new bearings, so I think it's a balance issue. If I can find a good 5/6 port chopper, I'll swap it in and see if I still get a hiccup. I like it though, adds character!
I got my control box almost done tonight, just gotta mount the switchplate and run the wires. Tested the contactor and it works fine!
Now I won't have to plug any plugs when I run my tornado siren!

That is such an awesome Thunderbolt, and as I said, censor out that 2001!

I'm guessing that this is the equivalent of running an actual TBolt blower on 110, judging by the volume and the sound. I've considered running a TBolt blower on 110 if I get a TBolt for Pine Knob, KY, because running it at full power would probably be overkill.

You can't, the single phase blower motors are 240 only. Running it on 110 with that kind of load would toast the motor.

Taking weights off the relief valve is much easier.

Is it even possible to find electric motors for t-bolts that are single phase and will run on 110 with the exact same HP specs?

That's hilarious. Those Vac Blowers work pretty well don't they.
Where did you get the bank teller tube blower from??
EL1998P71 - I gave it to him when he picked up the thing. I've offered one to you a couple of times. The offer is still open if you want one.

Eric, didn't you put two of those things on one head once?
THAT must've been fun...

I don't know, but doubt it. It would draw too much current at 110. My idea would be a small horizontal-crank gas engine, like a 7-hp Briggs & Stratton mower engine. You should be able to re-drill the bolt holes in the T-Bolt frame, and mount the gas engine right on it. Naturally, this would preclude being able to remotely start the siren, but for us hobbyists, it's an easier solution than getting special wiring installed.

Yes, that's a real 500-lb Federal SD-10 I'm holding (braggart!)
