The carillon at the University is believed to have been stolen.
It was dismantled from it's ground level enclosure and stored.
Now, no one knows where it is. Believed to have been scrapped.
But, in typical Mexican apathy, who cares.
Of course, a tuned carillon bell is worth many times it's scrap metal value,
but who cares.
Mexicans are stealing installed copper pipes and wires out of houses under construction here.
I would not doubthat if they could have brought down the 2t22 from it's 45' pole, they would have scrapped it. Glad they couldn't reach it.
Buthe (presumably) pole-mounted controller is gone.

AWSOME!!!! thats a great recording. They almost sound like the older model 2001s in wail except for the fast wind up which I loved.

Do you know why they sounded the alarm in this mode? sounds great!

I have no idea why. The voice was messing up again so I think they just used wail since the storm was so bad (Golf ball sized hail in about 1/2 the county)

Well, the copper rain gutters were stolen off my church in downtown Salem, and every other church down there as well, and it wasn't Mexicans. It was white, meth-infused tweakers who sold them for scrap to get drug money. One of those little sh*ts broke into the church last week and tried to steal the tabernacle. It was too heavy to carry -- about 400 lbs. -- so he removed the brass dome from it and took off. From devil worshippers trying to steal consecrated Hosts to tweakers trying to steal scrap metal, there is a reason why the Catholic Church requires tabernacles to be bolted down and securely locked.

Here's another video of the tornado warning from Wednesday that I found. This one has mostly 4004s with one distant 3016 all in wail.

Is it me or are the sirens in this video the same type as the ones in your recording? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3c3oiaviRQ4

NO thats 2001SRNB sirens from a Nashville TN suburb. The city of Nashville/ Metro Davidson county has ATI sirens but some of its suburbs like Brentwood have fedsig 2001s.

How crazy is this? I'm at church again tonight and I get a call saying that we have another tornado warning. I honestly thought it was a joke at first but I had to see for myself. I had brought my camera tonight knowing the very slight possibility for a good storm. As soon as I stepped outside I was surrounded by the sound of Whelens in alert coming in all directions. No tornado that I know of yet though. I'll post the video tonight as well as anything else I find out about it.

Everyone should take cameras everywhere.

Maybe tornado, aircraft flying into building, fire, accident, etc.
Of course, bringing your camera ensures you will not experiece the above.
