2010 date for NEW siren system

Any reason for 2010 as the year for sirens , long term planning
or it takes forever for 50/50 federal matchig funds? ...... :roll:

at that rate North Korea would be happy for any west coast
citys who need updates on C. D. warning systems. :?

By then they can improve rockets and H. Bombs. :twisted:

It's not necessarily a down-grade just because of the age. That would be like saying a 66' T-bird is worse than a 93 tercel. If you get a refurbeshed/restored one it wouldn't be bad.

Is such a swap "jury rigging" - using a rotor/stator assembly from another siren?
I'd be surprised that something else would fit just by accident.
