The siren is a 1000 series, NOT a 1003. The thunderbolt is a very old series A, and actually, several parts of differnent thunderbolts are laying around the base of thise siren. Its old, green, and severely weather beaten from corrosion from being right on the coast. I'd say, the chopper turned on after the blower would be the cause of the quick wind up and fog horn liek sound; and beacuse of the siren being old and most likely the bearings shot, would be the reason for a quick wind down. And who knows how the controls are set up...this being a VFD, it could be anything.
