Sadly, sirens and Emergency Management is the same as schools and other local government departments. Let buildings and a apparautus fall by the wayside so we can buy new things. Rather than spend pennies to maintain what works, government will spend millions for the next toy.

There is a growl test mode for the 2001. I don't know if it makes much sound, but it will test the chopper motor for sure.
