Does anyone have any idea where or how I can get my motor plate refinished? It's pretty scratched up. It's legible, but just barely.

Unless it was completely illegible, I'd keep it the way it is. Gives it some character.

boy are you lucky! Before I got the chance to get my t-bolt, I had wanted an STH-10 with a 10HP single phase marathon motor.

Marathon made the three phase motors, and STH-10s have always used 7 1/2 HP motors. Northwestern Electric made the single phase motors.

no, STH-10`s used 10HP 3phase and single phase motors and 7.5HP 3phase and single phase motors. here is a video of one with a 10HP single phase marathon motor. if you don`t believe me go to the comments in this video and find the one that says it does have a marathon motor on it.

Marathon did not make the single phase motors for the STH-10, Northwestern did. murrfarms corrected himself on that, you probably missed that specific comment where he did.
I have never seen a federal signal advertisement stating the STH to be anything other than 7 1/2 horsepower, and my own STH says 7.5 HP. If anyone could show me an instance where federal stated the STH had a 10 hp motor, please do so because I'd be interested in seeing it.

Perhaps there was a 10HP 3 phase STH siren made at some point. I'd still be interested in seeing an official FedSig document state that.

Ah, so that confirms the Wikipedia article true. There WAS a 10HP three phase model made for a while.

Congrats on your catch! That STH10 looks to be in pretty good shape. Ahh...all of this reminds me of when I first got my STH10B. Good times...good times...
