That Tbeam he has is a 10 horse model. They are the same motor, Federal liked to screw iwth the HP ratings for some reason.

I still see the point he is making though... the talk is to use a single shaft motor on a siren that has a dual shaft set up....

If the armature is good and the same dimensionally all he has to do is swap out the field off the tbeam motor.

All Sirens now Dismantled and in basement storage except for motors which are up stairs to be worked on. I can't find any problem with any motor except for them needing new bearings

The GE motors are going to take some doing to get them apart. They have no bolts that hold them together. They have big Screws that are rusted tight

Here is a picture of a Marathon 10HP 3 Phase Motor apart, they easy to take apart

The windings in the Marathon motor look like new; they are shiny.
Can consider staying, Weighing pros and cons.

Update: check out the other 2 motors the GE ones 1 was bad this was the one on the 2T22. It will be junked The other GE checked out good on a meter. It needs bearings bad. I have a feeling that the bearings went bad and the armature shorted to the coil and tripped the controller out Will see when I replace bearings and try to run motor. The marathon motor looks good and it test out OK on a meter It also needs bearings and the ones on it are leaking grease out.

I will take just the motors to a motor shop and heave them hook them up to their 3 phase
