just to clear it up haha the only reason why i'm being picky about the contact info is simply, I had a talk with Steve about buyers who are not so serious and just calling to ask about prices and ask a million questions then never had any intent to buy anything or just want to work the prices if they can. So I told him I would try and talk to the people from here first (though 98% are serious about buying on here) Thats the only reason. I knew the instant i got the list, that most of you all with out sirens would probably be interested and I wanted to share the good fortune I had come across

Congrats to the 3 new owners of T-bolts in the last two weeks!!!! I was hoping to get as many of these sirens saved from the scrap yards

Does that really say a T-128 for $500??!! So what exactly is wrong with it that they are selling what (in my book) is a "new" siren? I saw that it got hit with lightning and runs on DC (I thought all of the T-128's ran on DC)...other than that what is wrong with it? I sort of wish these were closer to me, there are a couple of places those sirens could be put to good use and the fire departments would be MORE than willing to pay $750 for a siren that is working (plus the most likely $2,000 it will take to get it down). I am still hung up on that T-128.... my fiance and I just bought our first house... this would look really nice in the front yard......hmmmm

Though I have not been out too see that t-128 yet, The only other comments i heard on it was that the battery box needed repair. Not sure what that entails. You are correct it was hit by lightening and replaced with an entirely DC power system. I will go out and look at it here this afternoon once my buddy gets in town we're gunna go out siren scouting....I'm itching for a 2t22...

Thank you for your response, it is a very intriguing idea to be able to own a T-128.

If I lived any closer I'd buy that T-128. It is a very good deal and would probably work great with minimal repairs. I'm sure there are communities out there that would love to get that thing.

$1000 for an SD-10 that still needs removal paid for is kind of steep. Maybe you can hire Charles to carry it himself down an extension ladder.

Yet, if the main part of that T-128 still works, it's a good price.
